Pretty Peonies from Power Poppy

I love how this card turned out.  I might just frame it.  The image is by Power Poppy and the paper is by Prima.  The paper is as pretty as the image!  These new images are so fun to color I added a few coloring tips below.  IMAGE HERE

Airbrush background
Cut & emboss cardstock with circle die.  Cut out a second image and mask your colored image. Spray color using a light brown or warm gray (E33).  Then uncover and mount.
 Coloring Tips
I added the darkest color and worked my way towards the light color starting in the deep valleys between each petal. Colors R89, R29, R24, R22, R20.  The leaves are colored with YG03, YG63, YG67

CMC Masculine Challenge

One of my favorite challenges is at CMC....  this month's is masculine themed.  I hope you enjoy my entry.  I bought this digital image from HERE.  (please pardon the saying!  I could not resist)

Texture on grass was done with Copic blending solution added to a terry cloth towel and then dabbed onto the colored grass.  The texture of the cloth will bleach the color randomly making a textured looking background.

Colored with Copics
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Warm Gray: W1, W3, W5, W7
Orange: R29, YR18, YR04, YR02
Green: YG03, YG63, YG67
Sky: BG000
Hair: BG000

Life is Not always a Bowl of Cherries.... watercolor

I know this saying all too much.  Life is not always a bowl of cherries, but it sure is yummie to enjoy a bowl of cherries now and then!  YUM...  I am currently pondering over a bowl of lovely cherries.   Exciting news on my new on line classes is coming soon.  Can't wait to share when details are worked out.  It's going to be sooooo super cool. additional teachers, all sorts of techniques and lots of fun.
